Well as my current car is coming off the road for a 3SGTE swap I needed something else to knock about in so what better than another Roadster. Car came up on here and local with loads of mods so today I took a trip over and ended up buying it.

Now I have a dilemma on which car to convert as this one feels so much tighter handling wise (same springs) and this car also has a genuine TRD kit whereas mine is a replica. Prefer my front bumper, spoiler and wheels though.

Condition wise from what I can see is very similar. This seems to go well with the rebuilt engine and Apexi Ecu so would be a shame to remove them so at the moment edging with converting the first car.

Few poor pics.

Together.

The first car.

Funny you should say that as I removed it this morning as I really don't like it. Already had someone on Facebook asking me about it too.

Will be putting spoiler up for sale soon but have absolutely no idea what it's worth and google returns nothing.

Decided I'm going to use my original shell as its cheaper to tax and already relocated battery and done quite a lot of swap stuff.

It's a JDL one but the fit isn't great. It actually fell off again today so need to find something better to hold it on.

This car has changed a hell of a lot since I bought it.

Have sold the hardtop. Ecu, spoiler, stolen the genuine TRD lip kit for my other car and then sold the front bumper. Was going to sell the car bit it was difficult after we travelled 2500 miles through Europe together in summer.

Insurance is pretty cheap and the car owes me very little after the sale of the mods so I bought this donor car tonight in order to make next years Euro trip a bit more interesting and have decided to 2ZZ the MR2.

Almost seems too nice to break!

And the MR2 as it stands now, I do miss the skirts and rear lip but definitely not the front bumper.

Would love to have used the engine out of the Civic in the background.

And a quick pic from Europe trip in June.

Nice one Lee though I'd like to see you swap the honda lump in there too.

I'd like to. Missus won't allow it even though I've got her a lovely newer Corolla T sport to replace it   s:shock:  s:shock:

If I ever find someone to make me an exhaust for it without having to remortgage the house or sell a kidney.

How is your rear plate mounted? I'm trying to find the official bracket for the rear.

Have you tried Kevin at zero exhausts?

Very jealous! Is there a reason you went for a corolla not a celica? Interested to watch how you get on.

Zero is too far for me. Way forward is to find an exhaust off another car that nearly fits and modding it. Put it this way, Corolla cost me as much as my exhaust system quotes.

Corolla over Celica as it was £700 delivered to my door and has a spare 6 speed in the boot.

Where on earth did you find that?!

Have you got a powerflow dealer near you? I'm very happy with mine and excellent value.

Is that the corolla from the guy on Facebook?

Lee H

Yes we have, they quoted me £800 believe or not, and the second one £600 without mandrel bends.

It's the Corolla from Facebook. Did a quick compression test tonight and 210 across the board, was a little concerned as its on 130k but that seems great. Also checked and it does have air injection but not the type with the holes in the cylinder head so that's a massive bonus as well. Looks like just an ecu I need to source.
