I was interested in that car but not being on Facebook made it difficult to contact him etc. Good buy,

Exhaust system doesn't need to be complex. Bear in mind Alex Knight runs a "cheap" (relative to PPE) manifold and stock 1zz exhaust system and makes stock 2zz power.

I've got a Blitz Nur spec to go on this car. Its the turbo Roadster that's the issue with exhausts as there is nothing off the shelf and people know they can charge what they like.

Pretty sure that wont work unfortunately as my car is an MRS so won't have any of the transponder wiring for the immobiliser like the UK car.

USA one is now $279 (wonder why?) but the JDM ones are $199, wouldn't that work?

I couldn't find the JDM one, will have another look.

Found it. JDM one doesn't have OBD functionality apparently.

I guess it's the same as the roadster, and that doing the paper clip trick works? Might be worth a google!

Ive got Toyota techstream I use on my laptop with a lead. It reads JDM as well as uk, you can do the paper clip job on jdm cars but cannot remember which pins you join.

Sorted a JDM ecu in the uk now. That's another job done.

Corolla has had a lot stripped off it now. Pretty much just driveshafts and engine mounts and I can remove the good part.

Well done Lee it takes me a few months to swap a badge over.

Easy?

Took about 4 hours from a running car to that. Have since removed gearbox from engine and all the air injection system. Also cleaned the vvtli filters and removed the lift bolts which need replacing.

Not too bad at all then, are you ordering stuff from MWR?

No, sorted a MR2 6 speed box so will use LSD and 6th gear out of that along with the selector parts. Got the bridge mount off a guy on imoc. Sourced ecu in the UK so only thing I will be buying is a cheap eBay conversion manifold from the states.

Excellent! Nice and easy. Does he make the mount or did he happen to have a spare?

Gonna bend the dipstick tube?

He makes them in alloy or steel. £32 delivered.

Yeah bend my dipstick tube and repin my loom. Budget build this one.

I like the sound of that I'll get one myself. I'd be interested in hearing about the repin, I can't really work it out
