Hi All,
I appear to have a problem with my cars registration number.. When I put the reg in to companies search facilities it always comes up as unrecognised.I have just been to my local Toyota parts department for some locking wheelnuts and when he put the reg in it again came up as unrecognised and they wanted to know the vin number before they would order any,They also said they could verify the registration from the vin number.
I have supplied them with the vin number and they said that there is no registration linked to that vin number only a number 802801,does anyone know if there is a register that details build dates etc or can point me to an email address for Toyota as my searches lead me to a dead end.
Any help appreciated,
Regards   Neil

It could be an import
Cute & fluffy animals were definitely hurt during the production of this post, there're plenty more where they came from

Dig out your V5 and give the DVLA a call?
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I had this with my Celica before I bought it - the registration number wasn't recognised on insurance sites or other sites where you put in registrations, although it was on the DVLA vehicle check:

Turned out that it had a personal plate on at some point, and had only recently been changed back.

Every thing seems to check out on the vehicle enquiry check, nothing untoward on mot check site, never been an export/import.at a bit of a loss at the moment as more and more companies ask for the reg when ordering parts etc.

Good luck with that one, you might as well talk to a chicken, they do not have a clue.
