No longer wanted....MR2 Facelift Model

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and am currently looking for an MR2 on behalf of my other half who can finally afford the car she's always wanted. She's set her heart on a red or sable grey roadster with leather interior, and it seems that this isn't negotiable!!
I'd like to to find one under 70,000 miles with service history, long MOT and in excellent condition.  Only looking for a facelift model 2003 onwards.  Her budget is £3000 but I think she'd stretch up to £3500 for an exceptional one. We have the cash waiting and are looking to buy now.

If anybody has one, or knows of a good one for sale please let me know. We live in Suffok but are willing to travel a couple of hundred miles if necessary for the right car.

There is a specific wanted section perhaps you have no access because you have too low a post count. Ask a mod.

You could consider adding a leather interior
Check out the extra price for a retrim ( eg: Rhons Leather on here).
This would perhaps allow a car with fabric interior if the colour and price were otherwise OK.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I've decided it's probably best to buy a car with the basic spec she wants as Im guessing that upgrades can easily get very expensive.
Having now looked at two MR2's I think spending an extra £500 might get a whole lot better car.
I'll keep looking : )

Sadly, I am having to seriously think about my car situation due to space and a company car that is due to arrive!  Within the next month regrettably I shall have to put my MR2 up for sale.  Here are the details should you be interested.

Reg. Dec 2002 but is the facelift model
Red, good condition
Full toyota service history
70,000 miles
I am the second lady owner and I've owned the car since Feb 2006 and it's been totally reliable.
I am getting it MOT and a full service next weekend.
Price £2,750

Anyway, just thought you maybe interested.
Ex owners of Chilli red facelift 52 reg called Chilli, silver 55 reg called Foxy and blue pfl W reg MR-S called Sapphire. Now 2 less!

I know, I'm totally gutted.  I've even gone around locally to see if anyone had a spare garage that I could put her in.  I know she's not sold yet BUT I feel so sad about it.  I love Chilli.  The company car is a Mondeo!!!    s:( :( s:(

Chilli may have been thrown a life line, someone down the road may have space for her.  The guy has just restored his Morris Minor and going to sell it SO if it goes then Chilli may have a new home but not far from me!!!!  Nothing is certain yet though!  s:cry: :cry: s:cry:
