Not seen that before either.

Perhaps one of the previous 12 owners can tell us where the exhaust goes/went?

Explain that mod to plod or insurance.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

The MGF /TF has a useful boot space there but I can't remember how the exhaust went.
Ex.MR2 SMT sadly missed.

Am I the only one thinking that Toyota should have done something similar if they had put their mind to it, it possibly could have helped sales. Yes I know that the given reason for no boot was about weight distribution but in reality it was probably about cost. Lets face it both previous MR2s had small boots as do most other mid engine cars.
The guy who did it originally showed a bit of skill, it's not a total bodge job but does have some rough edges, but if it had been done at the manufacturing stage would have obviously been better.

TBH a part of me really likes the fact it's got no boot. The designers decided practicality was way down the list of priorities.
I've bought a luggage rack just in case i want to go touring.

Every car designed has a brief with a set of wants and needs. Be that style, function or technology. Some stuff you HAVE to meet (legals) and other stuff you don't. It would be fair to say that every car I have ever worked on, has compromised an attribute or two at some point.

It has got a boot, under the Frunk and behind the seats! Any more is just a waste!

There are literally millions of cars out there for sale with boots... If you have to have one, the solution is easy.

I think the Toyota designers obviously did not feel that the potential sales lost due to the lack of boot was important.

I use my Mr2 as a daily driver, and do not miss the boot! These cars were not meant to haul crap around!

I only miss the boot when i have a passenger. You just have to think beforehand. The wife is getting used to stuff dumped on her lap on the journey home.

Been shopping at the local supermarket since I bought my 2 over 2 years ago...4 people full week shop, never had a problem fitting it all in the passenger foot well and seat..in fact never had to use the bins   s:lol:  s:lol:  Only downside is when I park as far away from anyone else on the car park I can guarantee that with loads of spaces nearby some numpty always parks right next to mine on the passenger side   s:x :x s:x
