He posted a new crashbar and exhaust on fb :)

Leethesparky

Gone for an aggressive wing from ropeyracing to fit in with the cars style.
Opened up the rear to show the exhaust
The photos make it look bigger than it actually is. It fits in nice with the car.
It's a bit like the colour though, a be there thing to see how it truly looks.

Wings are marmite, not to everyone's taste. But for me fits the theme of the car.

They do, no doubt about it.
Neither is there about taste; a personal thing so no argument from me whatsoever.
And objectively looking at your get-up-and-go you must be thé ultimate enthusiast and I bow to that.

I drove back up the mountains this morning and dreamt of magnesium wheels and alloy fourpotters on lightweight fully floating discs, carbon bonnet/engine cover and such....
Instead I will have a look at taking the ashtray assemby out  under the motto ´who does not value the little things, does not deserve the biggies´  ;)

Hope to mount the door bushings in a few weeks. That is something you ´should´ fit too imo. Seriousy; have a look at those. It does not interfere with anything you have done already, will help your chassis cope with the extra oompf and the expense not worth mentioning.

The ashtray is out so waiting for the mag. wheels  :P

Had a look at the strut brace and/or bushings yet?

On the looks front; mán is yours a crowd stopper. I would lóve to take yours for a spin through the village one sunny weekend afternoon: It would cause a traffic stop  :D
You must have a whale of a time driving it about!!

Looking good Lee.

Yes I need to!! Can't commit to anything long term at the minute though. Bit of an upsidedown life at the minute.

Blimey, that looks bonkers mate, nice one.  I'm not a fan of the ma-hoo-sive rear wing, and can't help thinking it might look even better without that, but everything else is bloody brilliant.

Petrus

Thanks for sharing Lee.

About that wing; I am contemplating a rather big one and seeing yours, it being in harmony with the whole, I think my idea not so big at all ;)

If your car is stock I wouldn't go massive. I think it suits Lee's car as he has a wide body. Lol

In the light of Lee´s ´massive´ is relative.
The TTE and other ´standard´ options don´t do it for me or aerodynamics; the only effective one is the boot lid lip which reduces drag.
But, let´s not hihack Lee´s thread; I opened my own on the subject in the ´General´  section.

Petrus

Lee, did you do any calculations concerning the wing?
I remember you observed the angle was wrong and you adjusting. Could you expand on that a bit?

I've adjusted it to 9 degrees up from horizontal using a digital level.
Need to play but it's a good starting angle.

What was you reason to start at 9 degrees and depending on what are you going to play?

9 degrees was a common angle when I googled it. And I'll adjust it up and down a few degrees when I get chance to play, see if it feels better or worse (floaty)
