After a lot of searching i bought a new ts type front bumper last year, after giving up on front spats. I also sourced rear spats and sideskirts to finish the look, and have spent a long time umming and arghing about paint finishes etc to the point stuc on here kindly did me numerous photoshops to get the look i wanted. Finally got round to test fitting it today, after a few hours of fiddling about and a little fettling with the sander id got the shut lines perfect all round and the bonnet edges lined up a treat   s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:   it looked the biz, i was well pleased   s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce:

Then came the moment of hilarity, i tried to move it off my driveway to find out its now way too low and theres no way the car can make it, oh how i belly laughed

Sickener  s:cry:  s:cry:    s:cry:  s:cry:    s:cry:  s:cry:  very expensive and time consuming mistake.

Ts type bumper coming up for sale shortly   s:( :( s:(

You have got to be kidding me!!

What is the issue with the drive? Sharp incline or decline?

You can't go back to looking for spats, you'll go mad!!

Modify the drive. A neighbour of mine altered the incline of the ramp off the road.

Its where my drive is at angle/slope, then some lumpy sh1tty tarmaccing done by the council for the drop kerb and by virgin for the cable then the road flattens out causing the above.
Proper gutted.
Moving house is an option  s:) :) s:)  i only did the drive 18 months ago so im not altering that again.
Spat hunting is gonna send me over the edge for sure.

Yeah reverse out or try to go at more of an angle. I had to go in at an angle and in reverse to get my old car into the drive....otherwise it'd  scock cock scock  [male chicken] a wheel and the front bumper would scrape the floor  s:lol:  s:lol:

I had to angle grind off my gate stay so I could get on and off the drive. It was only 2 inches high  s:( :( s:(

Tried it both ways, reversing on reversing off and like said at angles. Even tried my missus parking space
but it scraped on the crappy lumpy tarmac.
@jay nice wheels, but i couldnt go back to stock spring height  like in your picture  s:) :) s:)

All jokes aside, this must be heart breaking. What suspension do you run?

I know it might be a faff.
How about some planks to lift you an inch or so as you come out?

I have to use 6 paving slabs to act as tiny steps to even get a jack under the Mrs car. Low doesn't even come close to describing it. So I feel the pain. You can't fall down at this hurdle.

Did think this but its a drop kerb on a public footpath, so id have to get them out everytime I wanted to drive on and off, which would be a pita

Yeah it is tbh, ive spent about 18 months getting all the kit together, and saving up for the spray job. Stu knows all about how long it has been as I have pestered him for numerous photoshops. Im running stock suspension with 30mm lowering springs

Low rider springs it is then.

Do the suspension systems that you can control from the car (manufacturer name slips my mind) adjust the stiffness or the height as well?

would you get away with a bit of temporary tarmac (bitmac) down where you need it?

kw do a height lift kit but it is very exspensive

How old are spring/dampers?
Coilovers could give you a higher ride without going back to stock.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

very tempted by this idea as I reckon 5 mm higher would give me enough to drive on and reverse off, also
now im also paranoid about bloody speedbumps being an issue.

I think after going this far, something as stupid as a driveway wouldn't be stopping me. If a set of coilies would fix it then its worth a try.

Stu you male chicken, you knew what I was on about !

Amazed that your curb is that bad, May even be worth contacting the council about what can be done.
