I know tyres have been done to death but does anyone have recommendations for winter tyres?

I've picked up a set of pre-facelift wheels so all the better if you run them in PFL sizes.
2004 FL, Black, Matt Brace, Team Dynamics Monza R, Tein Springs, TTE Exhaust, heated black leather seats, black leather armrest,  Zunsport grills, Midship front badge,  TRD spoiler, Halo DRLs with LED fogs, large clear wind defector, Krissg kick panels,  small mongos.

OK I don't know if this helps, but I've been researching this and you're pretty much constrained to what's available? Last I checked (last week) the only ones I could get in pfl were the toyo ones?

Update - just rechecked and going on the premise of keeping all four tyres the same brand and type you're options according to mytyres are the Kumho, Hankook or Toyo ones...

I read a bunch of reviews and am going to settle on the toyo ones... no idea if anyone knows better?

Think out of the box, it's winter you ain't going to be driving so hard. Why spend £££'s on branded tyres for 3 months use?
I bought some retreads for my spare Scooby wheels to have a play when the white stuff arrives. nb  Also good in wet conditions until temps go back up then they come off. These are rated at 130mph, i have not had any issues with sticking 250+hp into them, now into my 3rd winter   s:lol:  s:lol:
Tbh pretty impressed,

Out of interest where did you get your MIchelins from? I've been doing some googling and I seem to be stuck at best with the 3 previous makes?

I did my own research on reviews. Choices are rather limited on our sizes. I think I had it down to Hancook, Kumho, Toyo or Semperit. Dismissed the Toyo's on my previous experience with the T1R's & settled on the Hancook Ice Bears W310.

They're being fitted to a set of refurb pfl wheels at the moment. Sorry I can't give you any info on how they are as I've yet to use them.

Thanks for all the replies.

Was going to go with the Khumo KW23 as I thought I could get them cheap but they dont do 185/55/15!

What are peoples thoughts on running 195/50/15 and 205/50/15 ?

Thanks.

Never tried their winters but wouln't dismiss toyo because they make a  sshit shit sshit  tyre. I hate T1R's, cant stand them, worst rubber I have ever put on my car. But Toyo R888s, oh my, they may make a crap summer tyre, but my god, do they make a fantastic semi slick.

Without experience their winter tyres could be just as bad as the t1rs or as good as equivalent to their R888s?

Don't dismiss all-season tyres.  They're still stamped M+S and have the snapes that grab the snow.  I ran some last year on PFL wheels as they were all I could get and was happy with them.  They'll be going back on in a month or two...
