Withhold your judgement, OK? Ok. I miss my window wind deflectors from my old Focus ST. Does anyone know if anything like this fits the softtop or hardtop 2?

Failing that, which other cars window is most similar to ours, and would it be possible to manipulate one in there?

Sincerely, a vapor with a wet shoulder.

Thanks dude, I saw these with the search. TBH I've only had my 2 since October and I've only had the roof down twice, are Mongos effective? Click the link below to see what I'm after  s:) :) s:)  They would probably only work with a hardtop but I want one of those too!

You can't use what you're after on the MR2 - there's no frame around the window glass, so nothing to attach them to!!   s:wink:  s:wink:   I had them fitted to my Skoda Fabia but didn't really rate them for stopping draughts - good for stopping drips though.  Mongo's on the other hand do a great job with the roof up and even better with the roof down - no draughts in your face bouncing off the side of the door mirrors, a must for roof down motoring in my opinion.   s:) :) s:)

I have mongos.
Got them when the wife used to smoke.
Great for stoping ash blow everywhere.
Only really made a difference for me with roof and windows down.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Cracking idea! Mine have been in the garage as never thought they really worked, but will have to shove them in to see if it helps with the ash! I don't think I ever smoked in the car when I had them in before.

Mine are a permanent fixture. I think they work very well. I would also hazard  a guess they work better the closer you have the seat forward.

You can do a rough experiment simply by dropping the windows when on the move and simply striaghten your fingers and fill the spaceto act as a mongo.

Today I had my window partly open whilst driving home from work and thought about this thread, stretched my arm out and stuck my hand where a Mongo would go; cor blimey. I want a pair.

I think these are the best "bang for buck" mod you can do to a 2.

I have the small ones (bekatees rather than mongos but the same thing) and they transform driving with the top down and windows down. The large ones may be better if you are very tall as they push the wind behind you further but I am happy with the small ones.

Might I suggest a hat Iron?  s:lol:  s:lol:   s;-) ;-) s;-)

I have a set of small mongos too, bekatee's like Simon's.
Like Ardent, mine are a permy fixture. Make such a difference when having the window down even having a hardtop on.

I saw an older gentleman on the M23 in the snow last year or the year before driving his 2 with the roof down wearing flying cap and goggles. He looked brilliant!  s:) :) s:)
