Remove Plastics
Unscrew the little screw that holds in the seatbelt-lock-side plastic

If you pull the seat back adjuster up (while stopping the back from flipping up and smashing you in the face), you can see how the plastic of the adjuster lever is held in place. Pull the clip and pull the adjuster lever plastic off.

Pull the seat back adjustment lever (helps to be sitting in the seat) and push the seat back as far back as it goes.
This gives you good access to the clips holding the plastics in place.
Pull the tabs off the nubs and pull the plastics off the seat and slide forward.

On the driver's side, you will also have the lumbar adjustment knob to remove. Do this by using some needle-nose pliers to pull the little circlip off. The knob pulls straight off.

Unbolt stock runners from Celica seats
WARNING - The coil springs for the seat back are under tension!!! If you want, you can pull the lever so that the chair "collapses" before doing the next step.
Turn the seat over and lie it on its front.
Undo the tie wraps holding the wires for the airbag (which you don't need) and the passenger sensor.
Undo the 4 12mm bolts holding the seat bottom onto the rails. Pull the wires through the fabric loops (yellow goes hangs off seat back, black comes off seatbelt lock)
Remove the seat bottom.

Remove the four ( 2 each side) 14mm bolts from the seat backs and remove the back from the runners.

Unbolt stock runners from MR2 seats
Same as above

Install MR2 runners on Celica seat
Few things to consider here:
1) You may want to swap the passenger and driver's seat backs to wear the seats a bit more evenly, but also to have the airbags on the inside of the seat so you're not looking at them.
2) An important thing to remember is that the seat back goes on BEFORE the seat bottom. So, the opposite way from removing them. I'll explain with a pic later.

If you look at the seat runners, on the main part there is a pin with a flat top, and a crescent groove around it. There will be a little fabric "washer" around the pin.
On the seat back, you will find a rod with a hole in both ends and a locking pin that sticks out. That rod has to meet up with the pin on he runners, and the locking pin on the rod has to fall into the hole in the crescent.
Miss this step and it will all fail.

Position the rod in place while havine the seat on its side so that the rod doesn't pop out the other end (it's loose).
Tighten the two 14mm bolts up. Then flip the seat over to the other side, while holding the rod on the bottom so it doesn't slip out.
Repeat the step with the other side of the runner.

Refit the seat bottom and pass the wires back through the fabric loops.
If you have swapped the backs, the yellow wire won't go back to where it was. this is ok. Just zip-tie it out of the way, you don't need it.
Bolt it all up.
...neutiquam erro.
