Quote from: "HereComesTheWife"Ours was on 17s and I hated it! The handling was turd and for some reason it was blown all over the place when it was windy. Its great now it's on 15/16s

This is reassuring, I hate the handling on 17s, particularly in the wind, it's better after alignment but still not a patch on stock PFL 15s. I'm going to go 15/16 in a bit more aggressive offset than stock I think...

I have a strange feeling that a bunch of men buying high heels and driving off in a "hairdressers" car may attract some disparaging remarks   s:( :( s:(

I wondered how long it would be........

It's not the heels, it's the 2 sizes too big.

This came up next

Dread to think where the next and the next end up.

As Ginger Rogers said, I do the same as Fred (Astaire) only backwards and in heels.

And. Back in the room.
So, where did we get to, regards these 17" wheels.   s:P :P s:P

Right now I have decided not to go with 17" wheels

What about 16x7" all round?

What would be the best tyres and how would it handle?

I'd still opt for 16x7 and 16x7.5 if you had to, and then run 195  front, or maybe 205,and 225 rear.
...neutiquam erro.

I can run fairly well in these, wouldn't fancy driving in them though![emoji23]

Nice shoes.

Left one looks a little roomy at the heel.

If they're aloud out the house,
I'll donate a fiver to club funds if you wear them at Ding Day.

It's a long story but I expected to need a bigger size than normal but they were quite large fitting. Not a bad thing as I got some insoles and heel pads in them and managed to wear them for 6 hours or more, including 3 hours dancing!
Top night![emoji2]

Just don't expect me to drive in them, something's bound to go wrong!

Haha! Be prepared to cough up, it's only fair I should point out a couple of things.
Firstly I'm a big Rocky Horror fan and have gone out in them and others scarier while in full Frank n Furter outfit.
Secondly if I lived in a village I would probably be the idiot so expect to see me wearing them to the evening meal on Saturday! To my son's shame and embarrassment no doubt...

Aaah, can you not make it? That's a shame, I was looking forward to seeing the custard!

My custard has a name, she is Banana.  s:-D :-D s:-D

Alas, dd may indeed not be a thing this year for us. We prolly can't commit until the day before in reality.  s:-( :-( s:-(

I've always been partial to bananas in custard! I'm hoping to see some nice custards either at SiP or DD though as my cousin who's theoretically doing the trip with me in Autumn bought a shocking example last week.

We have not met, but the irony is, if anyone could do with heels, it's me.
will become immediately obvious why at DD

Ironically I'm about average height, 5'10" ish but half bald and shaven headed so the wig would be of more actual benefit! Especially if it's sunny...

I rather like my 17" ones.

Although - yes - It does 'slightly' detract from the performance, but only when driven really hard around corners. I hardly noticed too much difference TBH
