Ok Suspension on the way to being sorted front valance in the paint shop. So I am getting there. Thoughts are turning to getting some more ponies. I have read a bit on here about the benfits of both a quick question springs to mind. the current engine has done 115,000 it runs really well and does not burn oil. Is there any no no and things I should look out for when looking to take the journey to turbo land

The first question would have to be, how much more do you want?
That will dorm the basis for your research and decisions.  s;-) ;-) s;-)

Go for it but please bare in mind that it will cause more engine wear and will probably prove less reliable.
Budget for more servicing. I changed the oil twice a year on the turbo and only used top quality fuchs fully synthetic.
If your clutch is old its will almost certainly need to be replaced. Anything over 190 torque will proably require an upgraded clutch.
Make sure youre brakes are 100% change fluid if that hasnt been done for a while.
Good quality tyres. No ditch finders please if going for more power.

If you buy a TTE turbo kit the above doesnt apply so much as Toyota designed it not to stress the stock components too much.
However i can think of at least two tte owners who want more power than it can deliver.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Thanks guys noted about tires, brakes and clutch I didn't know that you can still get hold of the TTE turbo but I shall carry on the research as for how many ..... Well I suppose that's the question I love the nibblenes and response as so many say it puts a smile on your face I just want a bit more low down and mid range grunt never experienced a turbo or a V6 so really don't know what to expect

Ask if someone wilk take you for a ride.
There are a few turbos and a V6 in essex.
I currently have both here in Kent but the turbo is technically sold and the V6 is a rust bucket.
