I see the Cath Kidston is taking a hammering again!
That doesn't sound like rhyming slang for Pinotage if that's what you mean. @Ardent has been clueing me up on rhyming slang for currency, but "Cath Kidston" didn't feature on the sheet. Explain please!  :-)

Call the midlife!

I've never heard of a "commodore" either, never heard of a slang term for £15.

Somebody somewhere in GCHQ or whoever monitors net traffic is going to wonder WTF is going on here, 3 blokes on a car forum talking about Kath Kidson.

Quick delete delete delete.  :))

That pink gunk is a worry, should only be a metal gasket on that face, when you get it clean sit a straight edge across it in a variety of places and make sure it's not warped.
Gasket and gunk off - what's best here - clean face with soft wire brush?

Lady Godiva. Fiver. £5

The Commodores sang. Three times a lady.

3x5. £15

Call the midlife!

Try a bit of acetone or similar to remove the residue then maybe a fine wet and dry, then some compound like G3 followed by a good polish...

Del

Maybe start with the wire brush for any rough.
But looking for a smooth flat surface both manifold and head. I recall Steve flating things down with some wet n dry round a sanding block or simlar.
Not on the 2, but the principle holds.

Call the midlife!

I gave up on that one before I got to it yesterday [emoji23]. I suppose some of them are regional as I've never heard of half of them.

Going to regret this at some point.
But, "acetone" or nail varnish remover. I have found, oddly enough, the "acetone free" to me more effective generally than the full fat  acetone.

So we have moved on from Kaths Hand bags to nail varnish remover.
No wonder people think of us as hairdressers.

Well I tend to use Isopropyl alcohol but I was a bit scared to recommend that to Derek after Saturday night's shenanigans [emoji23]

I got blotto. John did a thread on walkie talkies and i posted "7-9 lavender on the move" (in a reference to moody Glasweigan in the beeb's" The Bodyguard, but I retained enough compos mentis to moderate myself and delete the post. Then I started encouraging another user to track their car immediately...

Popped in to this thread after a hiatus. I'm not sure what's going on with all this table cloth talk.

However, after just watching In Bruges, I'll quote Colin Farrell - " You guys are weird..."
