15 inch wheels?

I'm wondering whether to get my FL wheels refurbished or opt for some nice quality after-markets. Unlike a lot of people, I rather like the look of smaller wheels on this car and was wondering if there is much difference in handling, ride and weight (in either direction) between 15 or 16 inch wheels at the rear? Visually I would be very happy with 15s all round but my priority with the car is handling and feel so if 16 inch rears or 16 inch all round offer any improvement the decision is made.

I also noticed that most after-market wheels start at 7 inch width so perhaps I am better sticking with stock to keep the better feedback of the narrower front wheels (6 inch?)? I don't have any intention to increase power so no real need for more traction.

I would say stick with stock.
I ran my turbo car on FL wheels slightly wider than stock and was very happy.
Current car is a V6 on stock PFL wheels and tyres and is also good but probably not as composed as on the FL sizes. It rides better though.
If you do want after market wheels dont go bigger than 16 and make sure you get something light.

Thanks. I think I will stay stock for now and start saving for a set of lovely Enkei Racing RPF1s in 15/16 stagger at some point in the future. A refurb in grey will keep my happy for a while!

I second that motion.
I'd happily do 0% interest for them over x months. They're just so light and so pretty  s:) :) s:)

TCB was offering the Japan Racing alloys on here a few months ago. Have a peek in their affiliate section. At least... I think it was TCB...
I considered them as well as they look like carbon copies of the rpf1s. And myself and someone else (again, forgot who) looked at the weights and they were still a fair whack lighter than stock.

Our only question was whether the build quality was OK. Some googling did unearth some very happy customers. And no negative stories. Just not many stories in total
