So I've just realised that although I've been on the club for some time I've never actually written up about my dear Roxy.  Mainly because I've always felt she isn't interesting enough.  But now I feel she does somewhat pique people's interest and I'd have utterly fallen in love with her once more.
So...Without further ado. I present the story of Roxy.



Summer 2010, at 20 years old I went out to buy a two seater convertible. I was looking for that ideal boxster s.
I came home with a roadster with 60k miles and in mint condition for a mere £5.5k

Little did I know what a glorious mistake I made.
1. its harder to kill yourself in a rooster as with stock power I fee they're quite forgiving.
2. Sooo much cheaper in parts, insurance, tax...everything really.
3. If I had bought a Porsche I can guarantee I wouldn't still have it.

It was my daily driver until 2012 when I was posted to Germany and bought the compulsory brand new car tax free.

Roxy got a little sidelined. Until 2013 when I had already got bored of my new car and brought her back onto the road. Coincidentally the same year I met jade and obviously I took her out in it for our first date.



I started to do some cosmetic work but the more I read on the forum the more I wanted to do.
That's when handling work started. Decent tyres, front and rear upper tower strut braces, Mattperformance mid section brace, TTE springs.
And I also fitted a toyosport manifold and BMC CDA intake.

I also decided the '2 would be a stripped out race car! This was not to be!!

Then I bought my first house, inherited two huskies and jade moved in with me. Once again Roxy was sidelined and stood for 2 years in my garden under a car cover.

Then it began..like an itch. I had become a bit more financially stable again. I was seeing my little '2 sat under all the snow all cold and lonely. And that's when I decided something needed to change.

With an extraordinary amount from the club. A large amount of direction and guidance and a "small" amount of persuasion I cobbled together a DIY turbo kit that I'm hugely proud of. It delivers me with a lovely 209hp at the wheels (245bhp) and requires me to wear a nappy if I'm feeling Particularly vivacious during a drive.  And this is with a mere 8.2 psi of boost. As I have said. Greg at RRR is a wizard.
Now....well I've realised I don't need strip her out for speed. I already have it.
So, refitting carpets, fitted some 6x9s in the rear bin doors so I can actually hear my music with the roof down. A suspension refresh and many more shiny bits to go on. Primarily though I'm updating all the old crumbly bits and upgrading where I can.


Future plans. I've recently acquired an oil burning lump that I've been "assured" runs lovely other than oil consumption.
I will be rebuilding this myself. Hopefully with a serious amount of upgrades but time will tell. I don't want to have to start messing with the gearbox but if I can get a spare I may just do that. That means 300hp maybe?
Who knows. For now at least, I have a lot of work to do to get my beloved looking as good as she feels, and feeling as good as she deserves.
Although my time will be divided even more with Another project I've gained . But more on that later...

Nice project bud. What turbo is that? And what engine management are you using?
Be careful, the gearbox breaks about 240lbft. So if you are not thinking about messing with the gearbox then keep that in mind.

I have been planning to turbo mine pretty much since I got it. However one thing or another has got in the way.

That's the gt2554R. EMU black tuned by Greg. 300hp will only be if I rebuild a gearbox as well. But thanks for the heads up.  I'm at about 188 lbft at the moment.

The pup has had one remote. When we go to the new forest they just pick up horse poop on the move!!!
Weirdest one is the eldest emptied a 5kg back of potatoes around the house. Every single one had a bite out of it.

Aww bless. Nice name. I'm slowly getting these two off leash trained. It's only taken 3 years haha. It's not reliable at the moment tho. A strong breeze is a distraction.

And back on the Husky thread - I dont feel so bad tham ym Husky cross doesnt doo half them things - although she jumped the baby gate and ran out the front door at the weekend after a cat! After 6 years, her recall still isnt 100%, still dont think its 10% 

Oh and she doesnt like Patrick!!!  haha

Starting to slowly revert from a "stripped out race car"(which it never became) to a nice looking example with a surprise under the bonnet. Carpets, bin latches, Centre console tidies, soft top strap. All thanks to d1ck Sloan's wonderful tf breaker.
Also velcrod the ecu and tidied up the wiring etc.
Lots more to do though. Looking forward to a suspension rebuild with some nicer parts. That should really tighten things up. And it also looks like after 100k and now an extra 100hp my engine mounts may have given up so those are on the list too.
