What size is a bonnet ?

That's not as daft as it sounds, I have just bought a second hand bonnet for my car and need to pick it up, I want to know if it will fit in the back of my A4 estate. (Rather than strapping it to the roof rails)

Normally I would simply measure the size of the one on my car but it's at my holiday home in France.

I've got a note on my phone that says 56x41 from when I was considering bringing one back from the scrappers last week. Assuming that's in inches [emoji23]
