Sorry friend, as i stated elsewhere my dithering and other personal issues coupled with the brexit scenario led to me taking the easy option of selling it in the UK.
I will have a word with the new owner so if it does come up for sale again, your interest will be noted.

Is that it? End of MR2 era?

Hi shnazzle,

Yeah sorry, as I don't recognise half the members now didn't think it would be of much interest.

End of car ownership at the present full stop.

Ive run the full range of emotions on this one, get rid of the parts, keep the parts, get rid of the parts, start all over with another mr2.
In the end I decided it was great while it lasted, but time and space is of a premium at the moment and in all honesty after missing it for a long time, I'm at the point that I drive so much with work, it no longer gives me as much enjoyment as it once did.

There's nothing around really in my price point that excites me either tbh.

I thought that might be the case; there are a small handful of us left from when I joined, let alone when you joined.

I'm totally with you on the driving front. It's not the same anymore. Too many people and too many aggressive drivers in cars far too powerful for them.

Also get the "nothing in this price point". I'd be lying if I said it didn't play a role in why I still have an MR2. What else can give you what it does, for that price? But if you're done with MR2s...where do you go from there...

Sorry to see you go

Yep for all its quirks, it's a hard car to top, if they did a newer version without all the required maintenance of a classic car I'd be very interested.....

Such a well titled publication. For many it seems to be a code to which they don't have the key!

Very true, if you drive around Birmingham you would think that it needed decoding with a Enigma machine, there's that many drivers that don't understand any of it.

Not so much in the last 10 but before that I drove around a lot of places. Birmingham first in 1973 just as Spaghetti junction was opened up, below that at one time was very difficult to find a way around as the Maps hadn't caught up with all the closed roads etc. Not to mention the very different mind set of drivers, but I learnt to drive in London so you would think that I was well prepared, but I see Stupid and there is no cure for that.

Thanks, no clue what that maybe but perhaps I'll be inspired at some point. Saying that I've fell down the rabbit hole of mountain biking the past week.... Ticks the list for having wheels and the Potential for modding

Ah spaghetti junction, what a concept! it does work though... Just about, if you can avoid the kamikaze Honda civics that have no concept of lane discipline.

Mwah, same problem; too busy, too much a-holes and added to that motorists.
I have half a dozen of bicycles and live in mostly empty quarter and stíll avoid weekends/holidays.
Modding is best reduced to adding lighness. Sorry.

Now, do as you want ofcourse.

Mý primary hobby is charming company. OEM STRÓNGLY preferred. I guarantee it is fun, will keep you busy and on you toes like nothing else. Reasonably fit too :-)
