I'm considering making up a few kits.

See: https://www.mr2roc.org/forum/index.php?topic=67099.msg792751#new

I have to price up all the bits needed, and I don't want to do the work for no return.  I also don't want to cross the line of trading on the site and being a member.  The rules make this a bit tricky.  (Input from the committee would be helpful).

Anyway, before I do all the work, I'd like to gauge the interest level.

Off -hand (don't hold me to it) the kit would be around £55.

If this is of interest to you, please say so on this thread.

I would require your bespoke service for the V6.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

From a committee perspective this is no different than widermuller or dev's efforts. Yes there's profit involved but more as compensation for your time as well as materials.

Go forth a build. If you start growing your business into braces, subframes, pulleys, supercharger kits etc then we'll talk business ;)

Put me down for one sent out yesterday.
I had guesstimated 50 quid so ok with me.
PM you paypal account and I will forward it towards your upfront costs.
If it gets a bit less/more we will cover it in shipping cost.

p.s. was serious about signing the damper  :)
I réally think what you/how you do it do is hat´s off cool Carolyn and I like the personal aspects of things.

You're too kind.  I just do what seems like fun!

You might need a brace! (As in pheasants...)  They're only friction dampers, so two might be need on a bigger mass.

That ÍS cool Carolyn; you doing your thing because you have fun doing it.

The world would be a lót more pleasurable place with more people looking at life this way instead of being miserable gits making life difficult for others because they don´t like theirs.

Petrus:  If there's not enough demand to warrant making a few (and getting discount on components), I could just send you all the bits needed minus the damper (which you can buy on Ebay for the same price as me) and you could go from there?

Yes, I could  :D

Maybe the best way to go about as Ebay.co.uk bought it must be here asap to avoid customs crap.

Finding space could be an issue.

Id be interested in this deal too and i can also send cash upfront like Petrus.

Carolyn

I don't need (or want) cash up front guys.  Thanks for the offer!

Let's see what the demand is.  David and I are looking at just making the mounting kit and letting you lot get the dampers straight off ebay.

I've asked the supplier for a bulk price on dampers, so we'll see.

Got to locate cone washers at a decent price and the right capheads and nylocs to go with.

We'll investigate during the week.

Ok, I´ve pushed the button and they should be here next weekend. Am réally happy with this; I even had this on the Mercedes diesel engine offroaders!

My peasant 1st edition design of this is still in and works miracles. So I'm definitely in line for one of these

Note Carolyn, just for the mounting kit; as you wrote but just to avoid confusion.

I've ordered the bits for five kits.  So one more up for grabs.

Haven't priced it yet, though....  Got some collars to machine.

I'll take the last one please, it'll compliment the rest of the set up. [emoji1303]

All the components have now arrived.

We have to make spacers (Lathe) and brackets, do the finishing, trial fit on my car, make up installation instructions and go away for the weekend.

So it'll be sometime next week.  Looking like £25 plus postage.  All stainless bolts, nylocs, so it will be good quality.

All sounds good to me, particularly the weekend away part.[emoji1303]
I've got an oil catch can to fit that was going to go on the cross frame directly opposite the PCV but think I'll find somewhere more appropriate for it.
