Changing a h/light bulb.  How can something so simple be something you start but put of till another day because it seems impossible without taking the car half to bits. Oh for my ford anglia, mk1 escort, mg midget. mk1 golf etc etc..

Changing of the bulbs on these is a pita. For all the clever little touches on this car, that one is a massive oversight.

If you started with the right one, (from drivers seat) take a deep breath as the left is worse.

It was (is)the passenger side one that needs doing, not all bad news as i took the big plastic cover off,and as most of the little clips broke i wont be putting it back on, which means i wont have to cut it about to fit a strut brace. Also pleased with how nice it is underneath.

A bit Flintstones though ;-)

I changed my headlight bulbs recently and after popping the original bulbs out, really wished I hadn't.

Had to take the bumper off to get the clips back in. Some people manage with just knowing "the technique" or using a small mirror. Taking the bumper partially off and headlight assembly out was the only thing that worked for me.

Would hate to have to do this at the roadside. I'd be surprised if your average call-out chap would manage it unless they were a long term roadster owner.

I managed it without taking bumper off, but at least I have small (but chunky) hands.

I've done mine without taking the bumper off and I've got hands the size of dinner plates. Not saying I found it easy though.
