Ouch!

(Every review of the Yaris I have seen so far has been glowing. Mat Watson of Carwow says he is thinking of selling his 911 to get one).

(PS Perhaps you need a GR yaris Chris!).

To get the speculation out of the question - Rogue's quote 2GR is 16.5k turn key, 3GS is 13k turn key and the price is in pounds. Can have slight deviation due to donor car price.

Off topic: For such money one can have Cayman plus change for spares and consumables.

They've gone up in price a bit then. There are lots of cars you can have for that money, but few of them will have the intensity and grin factor of a 2GR MR2. Cayman is way too sensible!
Ex 2GR-FE roadster. Sold it. Idiot.  Now Jaguar XE-S 380. Officially over by the bins.

Oh, so much more than I thought I would.

Honest answer well done mate.
Let's get that supercharged V6 out of your jag and into an mr2.

My old car came up for sale recently and had I not just bought a training car on the tail of 14 weeks not working, I would have been seriously considering buying it back.

Have to say, much as I like the Jag, it's not the sort of car that makes me giggle like a naughty schoolboy. It's hugely, capable, agile, lovely balance, very well appointed and as fast as anyone realistically needs on a road. It's a lovely thing, great for covering distance and great when you get on the fun roads. It is sensible though. What is rather telling is that the Jag gets more than 10x the use I was giving the MR2, which is a bit of a reality check.

A cayman s isn't anywhere near as quick as a 2gr roadster. A better car overall for sure but most owners can't stop dreaming about ims bearings and bore scoring.

Why even bother with a 3s gte for that money build your 1zz or 2zz be far kinder on the handling iron blocks are so 20th century.

( but I still love a 2jz )

I like the look of it, but I've already got a hatchback. Maybe my next training car?
