Ange drove upto Dumfries yesterday and she has her instructions to keep an eye out for our cars!  Not one was seen in 360 miles and 7 hrs of driving!  Two GT86's though ;)

Im about 8 months into ownership of our cars and im still very surprised when out and about just how many heads turn when they see the little roadster. Exclusive indeed

In my own area, I know of 1 white Mk1 (very nice and rarely seen), 1 red Mk2 in constant use, a black Mk3 (but not lately I think it wasn't a good one), a sable Mk3 (only seen in very good weather), and there was another red Mk3 within a mile but I think he's sold it. I might be the only one with a roadster for miles.

Love the exclusivity these cheap cars give.

Esp. The double takes from kids that have never seen one, but they know it's something different.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Oi mush!

To be fair; it does have a light covering of dust.

Mine also has a light covering of dust. 🙄

Just done nearly 1000 miles from Newcastle to Norfolk, round Norfolk, and back to Newcastle and only saw 1 MR2. Very exclusive I'd say!

Must have saw every other convertible including a 21 plate Z4 and a 70 plate Exige!
2004 FL, Black, Matt Brace, Team Dynamics Monza R, Tein Springs, TTE Exhaust, heated black leather seats, black leather armrest,  Zunsport grills, Midship front badge,  TRD spoiler, Halo DRLs with LED fogs, large clear wind defector, Krissg kick panels,  small mongos.

No so around my area...
I know of at least 6 within 5 miles radius of my office!
2 blue, a green and a silver PFL.
A sable and a silver FL...
And my own 2 Twos ( a sable FL and a black PFL )

When I had my first pfl (maybe 10 years ago) it was common to wave at one or two mr2 roadsters on a drive around Norfolk. I've done two longish trips of around 300 miles each since acquiring my new fl model and only seen one other mr2. I'm surprised how few are out and about 🤔

4 others within 2 miles of me (and I think I saw a second 2 parked up alongside one of them last night, new acquisition?) including @Iain, who is on here, another within 400m of me.

Saw one on Tuesday, didn't spot one on my 155 mile trip yesterday, but saw 3 different ones more or less within 24 hours in June.

That's what makes it interesting.

From the exclusivity POV, great isn't it.
From the love of a great a car POV, rather sad.
Not helped or compounded by those who own but don't take out and enjoy as Mr T intended.

Yes it's a shame, I do understand that some want to minimise the mileage, I don't want to rocket the mileage for the sake of it but I definately want to drive it and enjoy it as much as possible. I look at it like this... If I estimate a conservative 150k miles before any major issues, take away the 64k its already done that leaves me with 86k.Divide that by say 3k a year, that means I'd have another 21 years of roadster motoring enjoyment. It also means I would be 80 years old at the end, if I, and the car make it that far I'll be happy 😂😂😂

:) i got to love the way people slow down on motorways and you can see them pointing and talking ;D
i have lost count how many conversation my 2 has got me into when i park up or stuck in traffic.

when i was leavening the hotel to go do ding day Bernie was waiting for me as i walked to the car there were to old guys right by my 2 there taking a picture.
they said they don't no what it was and googled the badge and now thinks its a mr2. :))  :))

one thing for sure they are defiantly not a common car and they get people looking and talking. :)

best of all well all no how much fun they are to drive standard or with mods. 8)  8)
we all got a peace of car  history in the making :)  :)

I have owned mine 2 years now and I have probably only seen another 10 or so on the road in that time, they certainly are few and far between, pity really as a lot of folk are missing out on so much fun for so little outlay.

I think you need a new battery for that abacus, you'll be getting close to 29 years out of it, it's good until you're nearly 90!

You'll be lucky to get to 150k without issue.
