Rear window heater connector plug

2 questions:

1. The manual states you shouldn't switch the heater on with the top down. Some one told me it won't work anyway because part of the connection is through the front clamps. True or false?

2. When I remove the hard top, I assume that "other" connector is for the soft top's heater and needs to be plugged in? Basically it's one or the other that needs connecting?

1st question. False, there's no connection through the clamps.
2nd question, yup, one or the other.
60% of the time it works everytime...

There doesn't appear to be anything in the owners manual about that connector.

Thanks @SV-3. I think I just looked at how to operate the heater.

Note to self: Read entire manual.
