Well, it's starting to look like selling the '2 (and the 300) is going to be the only way of keeping the house (at least for a few more months), so I was wondering..

How much do you think my newly aquired dents will affect the value? The ChipsAway guy wasn't sure his dent man would be able to get them out due to their position  s:( :( s:(  (The one on the door is actually two creases, looks like the door was pushed inward onto the crash-protection bars).

In case you haven't seen the pics, they're here:

Obviously I can polish out & touch up the scrapes, but that's not going to get rid of the dents..

So, how much are they going to knock off the value of the car? £500? £1000?  s:( :( s:(

I am surprised that a dent man couldn't get those out.

I sold a Civic Type R with a dent on the rear wheel arch panel but before I sold it I got a price for fixing £150 so I reduced the price of the car by this much.

It was a small dent but right on a crease so it would take a bit of skill.

Well the dent man himself hasn't looked at it yet as he's out of the country - so it was the ChipsAway guy (who subs the dent work out).. But he thought the arch dent being on a crease would be a problem, and that the bloke wouldn't be able to get to the door one because of the crash-bar being in the way  s:( :( s:(

If he *could* get them out, it'd be £130 to fix them, so I suppose I could knock £150 or so off the price.. at least that's not as bad as £500.

Ta Sam.
