TTE Exhaust + TRD Header (UPDATED WITH SOUND MOVIE)

Finnaly my ordered parts arrived

I have ordered a gt300 kit, trd header and trd air filter.

The TRD parts are allready installed and i will dyno it soon.

I allready have the TTE Exhaust and a custom intake.

First impression is that the torque is higher.
Improved acceleration and a great exhaust tone. s:)

is it a cold air feed is so ware have you taken it from and what diameter ducting is it?

it's a replacement for that pipe we tried to remove from yours.

Just made a movie with my digital camera and the sound is quite similar to the real thing

ENJOY

This movie was made with the following setup:

TTE Exhaust
TRD Header
TRD Air Filter
Custom pipe on the enter of the stock air box. (similar to the trd pipe)

The movie was recorded, just after i finished doing around 15km/h at around 160 km/h. The engine and exhaust was hot.

Next week i will install my Custom Intake to ear the diference.

The car is pushing much more
Feels like you are one gear low.
5ft gear is pushing like the 4th gear without the trd headers.

I'm anscious to do a dyno and see the result.
Monday i will do it.

Yes that is a pipe that is replacing the stock one. it's conected on the same places that the stock one was.
The diameter mesure i'm not sure, but the inside diameter is just enough to fit on the outside of the outside of the stock air box.

But i'm thinking on doing a pipe like the aluminium trd one (inlet duct)

so replaceing that pipe with a larger diameter sized pipe will increase the air flow to the intake???

That's right - Mark & I are working with H&S to produce a stainless replacement for the restricted pipe that we tried to remove (except the spoiler got in the way s:(

s:( ) from your car when you were over at Mark's place a few weeks ago.

Currently we are concentrating on the H&S group buy, but once that is out of the way we should have the inlet pipe soon after.....

2 Queries:
1) Where did you order your stuff from?
2) Is all the cats now removed from your exhaust? And does this not affect your secondary O2 sensor?

AFAIK, only the two pre-cats are removed (as is evident in the pics of the TRD header), the main cat is still there. As for affecting the O2 sensor, I'm not sure.

Main cat will still be in place, so the O2 sensors wont know the difference.

The main reason for the secondary O2 sensor, (after the main cat) is to see if the cats are operating or not. The gas is measured for O2 as it comes into the exhaust, just before the pre-cats, and then again after the main cat. The ECU adjusts fuel air mixtures using the first sensors, and only uses the secondary sensor to look for a difference between the O2 readings that proves if the cats are working or not, if the readings are the same then there has been no change in the gas on its passage through the cats, meaning the cats are either not working, or not there. The ECU flags this as a fault. When the cats are operating the O2 reading from the pre-cat inlet to the main cat outlet will change.
