Hi,

What do you reckon are the chances of carrying out turbo modifications (as a full product, of course) on the roadster, given your aforementioned relationship with C2?  If positive, would this be the only turbo on offer or would you be prepared to consider other products (Hass, etc)?

Also, just for clarification purposes, how comfortable are you with the roadster?  As I mentioned earlier, I am indeed interested in a specialist roadster garage that I feel confident taking my car to for any kind of work; from the simple task of accurate wheel alignment to lowering suspension to fitting a turbo to an engine swap.  I am in no doubt of your mechanical expertise but, for peace of mind more than anything else, I (and the other members of the club, I assume) would like a clarification on your current experience on the roadster.

To avoid any misunderstandings, I would still take my car to 3S (as a roadster specialist) even if you had little experience as long as you responsibly recognise any issues that arise and be prepared to resolve them.

P.S.  I think you should recruit Aaron as a PR for the roadster and our community  s:wink:  s:wink:

  s:D :D s:D  Hi

My personal experience of the roadster amounts to nothing! im not affraid to say this as myself and aaron are completely open and not into B.S.

The idea of asking you guys what you would like to see from us would allow us opportunity to investigate matters you find essential to a garage who's only aim is to serve the mr2 community, this said i believe aaron is pretty much up to the mark, and i wouldnt take a booking without him availble to carry out all or part of the work.

I am completely open to any product/service assuming there is a market for it, and it can be costed right. C2 power have done vast vast amounts of research and can offer a quality product at a good price, this combined with the fact that i speak some hungarian and have spent much time in Budapest meant we have began a working relationship.

Thanks alot for all the questions, its great to see the enthusiasm.

All the best
James

1) the minor damage you refer to is i believe a scratch on one alloy, you are the only person to believe this took place while the car was in our posession and is not confirmed either way,and is slanderous to so say it was. There was no such "shrug" infact a very grown up conversation.

and damage to a brand new (literaly few week old tyre) aparently kirbed but luke seemed to think it was lifeted and pinched or something because it wasnt gradual just in one place.
And chipped paint on the rear lights (compensated for in price *thanks*)

2) we travelled to your house and continued with work as you required the car for your work (as a favour)

I appreciated this but you had the car for 1 week (booked with MOT) and on the day of return you then tell me there was no MOT spaces so I'm without car again another week. So later you delivered in order to help me, and thanks for that.

3) we delivered your car to your hourse at your request

I think you offered from good will so thanks again.

4) there was approximately 10 hours work carried out on your car that was not invoiced.

As I said further above the price was very good, the estimate of hours often used not the real total. This was good.

5) there was work carried out on your car, parts replaced, and small works done that were again not charged for.

Cant coment on that thanks, I still felt a few of the original problems werent resolved eg loose drivers window.

-------
Realisticaly at the time you were squeezing in the work to evening and weekends and still keeping on your original jobs, maybe now you are more focussed.

When we discussed damage you said you had no way of knowing the condition of a car as you recieved it, or as you gave it back. This was a process you said you needed to implement eg- the way they go around a hire car with a tick sheet.

And then worrying things like calling me on the day of return asking "did the speedo work before you put it in with us ?" did make me shudder.

I never doubted your effort or commitment that was just my genuine experiences. Sorry if it hurts and you need to attack my integrity but thats just what happened to me. All I said is be sure of the condition of you car - can you honestly argue with that ?

Phil. you gotta be in that pub again   s:roll:  s:roll:

"And chipped paint on the rear lights "  - the paint you applied with a can of aerosol that was bubbling and flacking degrading on arrival   s:roll:  s:roll:

"you then tell me there was no MOT spaces so I'm " - no your abs ecu was playing up showing a light on the dash which would have failed the mot   s:roll:  s:roll:

"loose drivers window" - all that is possble is to tighten it up this was done and was not loose you heard a noise you think was that.

"then worrying things like calling me on the day of return asking "did the speedo work before you put it in with us " - off course if i find a problem i will openly report back to customers, as it happened, the person who installed your boost gauge drilled straight through the dash pcb   s:roll:  s:roll:  toally trashing it, off course odd things were going to happen, again i asked you in order to rectify the problem, which we did, again as i recall it free of charge.

"All I said is be sure of the condition of you car" - this is not all you said, you claimed damage had occured whilst the car was in our possession, this simply is not that case, if i honestly thought it would i would have gotten it rerurbed for you, but by the same token i wouldnt have stood there with you and argue the toss so you got hefty disscounts to resoleve the situation calculating to over £500   s:roll:  s:roll:

You seem to have a very distorted veiw of real events, which is something i have yet experienced with a customer.

In additon to this, you have not made it clear that your car was in a bad state of dissrepair when you bought it to us, when it left it had a problem with the abs ecu, and a slight noise on the drivers side window. To further prove my point we might as well make it clear it was used for racing at some stage.

Phill you was not driving a mercedes and need to be as realistic as you were when you bought it to me and asked " can you please put this in a condition to sell on. I beleive that was acheived.

Now please stop making out we are bad eggs when its plain to everyone our work was and always has been nothing less than of high quality.

Yes, thank you!

(and not just because I like to see people not called "Ernie Ball" get warned).

Even though I live in Ireland, if turbo installation was a possibility (and I could find an insurer to allow it), I'd be really interested.  Not right away, mind, but in a year or two.

I think if you offered things like that, you'd find that your "catchment area" would widen substantially.  But maybe I'm just unusual...

likewise James, absolute pleasure meeting you. Nice to see an enthusiast bunch as well, who can offer a product that the masses want. Hopefully we can get some form of relationship built that allows people to get those jobs done that they dont feel confident in doing themselves.

Good Luck
