Went to my local Mr T's to order some warranty replacement alloys (they were only a year old s:? :? s:? ) and whilst there I got to talking about the Service Plans.
I got a call the other day and it seems like a good deal.
I can pay monthly for the next 2 or 3 services, I will get my car washed and vacuumed following the service and so much of it's first MOT. He did mention a host of other'bonuses', but I kinda switched off as my taxi was outside waiting to take me out on the lash s:P :P s:P
I'm waiting for him to put together a plan with the final price (which I will only sign up when my new alloys arrive).
Anybody else use these plans?
Anything I should be looking out for, or questions I should be asking?
This is the nearest toyota dealer within 50 miles, so it makes sense to keep on there good side.
Cheers s:wink:  s:wink:
Have you seen the way that Mr T washes a car...you find most people on here tell them not to do it!
Plan doesn't sound like a bad idea, is there some sort of warranty included in that as well?
Hi Mate,
I considered doing one of these. It obviously allows you to plan and pay for the services over a period of time as opposed to all at once.
BUT
Make sure you get a good deal, I always get them to knock 10 % off, my maximum bill has only reached £150 and that in 80,000 miles.
I haven't taken them up on the offer as I tend to already have services planned in my budget, but if you can get them to give you it all at the right price them go for it.
You may want to consider supplying your own oil if you can get hold of it cheap enough, I think I pay about £7 for 4 litres of Shell Helix (which is what Mr T charges £30 + VAT for!) so I save myself some money that way.
Hope these comments help you decide.
Cheers

Wow s:shock:  s:shock: Where do you get that from??
Hi,
Hmmm not off the shelf unfortunately. My father runs a local 4 x 4 franchise and I purchase bits and bobs at cost, just shows how much profit thier is in oil. Before you ask, unfortunately I can not offer a group buy s:cry:  s:cry:
