Title: Halfords 5w-50 'trackday oil'
Post by: Anonymous on February 28, 2006, 21:18
as the title suggests, Halfrauds are selling own brand 5w-50 fully synth oil  for £32 that they are marketing as 'trackday and high performance driving oil'

What do we think about this? i have done some research thinking ooh this is good having read  this (http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/oil_facts.htm) i now dont know.

any thoughts?  s:?: :?: s:?:  ?

oh... and i know its mostly written about bikes but its probably still relevant

halfords own stuff in't actualy that bad, it's so cheap you can change it quite often.

proabably it's worst point and best point is it's viscosity.

my first thought was ooh 5 and W50 is a very good range, however thats why it's harder to make an oil that has this range (I'm sure Simon can put it much better than I)

It's certainly not a race oil like Silkolene Pro S or Motul 300V

Cheers
