Title: performance panel filter
Post by: richbay on March 3, 2006, 09:48
i have purchased a toyota performance air panel filter, its just like a k and n, but i dont seem to be able to get the air box lid back on, it does not appear to be a lot different around the rubber section just a little shallower in the filtration section. has anyone else had this problem, or is it me??

I've just stuck my TRD one back in for Anglesey after it was taken out and thrown away by Toyota on my last service.   s:roll:  s:roll:

I had trouble getting the top of the box off, as per normal, and when I put it back on, the hose at the back stopped it moving far enough. It must have slipped forward when I took it off. Unscrewed the clamp thing and slid it back.

I put a post it note on the dash telling them to leave the TRD air filter alone!!

Painted on the air box might be a better idea!

I wouldn't have minded, honest mistake and all that. The trouble is, the TRD one is black with red plastic. The standard one is White with black plastic.
