I recieved my kit from Gas last week. I'm amazed at all the tiny little details Gas had put into this kit, I think it's a work of art. Not sure how many variations of the C2 kit there are out there, but if he's putting this much thought into it I'll be amazed at what he comes up with next. The placement of parts for my kit are quite different to Spit's but I can only really comment upon fitment. The most obvious difference is the Intake is placed behind the intercooler and scoop, and the BOV is on the MAF pipe. The vacume piping is very simple but it's best if Markiii explains/comments on this (very neat) solution. I have sent the kit away to Camcoats to be coated (I have a cunning bling-like colour plan) and I'm hoping they get it coated and back to me in time for easter weekend when I plan to fit it along with the help of Markiii and propably a few other keen members!

Notice the teeth on the intercooler piping for the hose to clamp down on the better secure the hose to stop it from poping off

This is just the sexiest exhaust system I've ever seen, I kicked the girlfriend out the bedroom to be alone with it. s:lol:  s:lol: It even has little support welds to hold the bottom horzontal tailpipe to the backbox.

This is the attention to detail I was on about; He has recessed the tube to better seat the jubilee clip and prevent it from popping off under extreme boost

More pics when I get the kit back from Camcoats...
looks great, bet you cant wait to get it all fitted! s:twisted:  s:twisted:
how did it all set you back?

Lee you have to post that other pic of you holding the main exhaust just for teh comic value s:wink:  s:wink:
to add to what Lee has said I have to say whoever does the welding for Gas, maybe he does his own? is an artist pure and simple
the exhaust would do justice to a Japanese high volume production item, it gives H&S a run for their money, and makes me cry every time I see that excuse for an exhaust my Hass came with.
Likewise the custom MAF pipe Lee requested for a one off is beautiful.
If Gas goes on to improve teh design yet again I can't wait to see what he comes up with.
Lee that looks great matey. Yes, lets see the outtake pics too s:lol:  s:lol:
Gas has been able to get some constructive feedback since he bought his own '2. He kept hinting that he was up to something but those changes in layout from the early spec are way more than I was expecting.
And being a nice guy, Gas is offering existing C2'ers a stonking deal on the cast manifold, although it requires a bit of DP modification. I've asked already but don't think anyone has answered.....do you need longer head studs with that, or does it come with extended (dome) nuts?
Can't wait to see it in the flesh. Will we need shades for the bling-coat? s:wink:  s:wink:
Mark, do you mean this one?
Yeah I'm pinching a set of longer studs from Dan and have some hi-temp k-nuts too for fixing.
I am green with Envy, s:P :P s:P
just for interest,
how much the kit work out shipped to the uk, in pounds?
any tax problems?
cheers
As long as you're in EU there won't be any duties on top.
My injectors came from USA direct cos Gas didn't have any in stock at the time, so I got stung for those s:cry:  s:cry: But he more than made up for it with freebies over the tax value that I had to purchase anyway. He is a very sound bloke. s:lol:  s:lol:
More info here (http://www.c2power.com/node/312), although its not updated yet to show off "C2 - the Next Generation" s:wink:  s:wink: Best you email for details.

Lee man you can even afford shoes now you brought all this stuff s:lol:  s:lol: What dedication
Sure the exhaust looks so sexy, i suggested gas puts it on the outside of my car s8) 8) s8) or at least throw away the rear pannel. s:twisted:  s:twisted:
Totaly rocks.
Lee - is there a "tongue" inside that manifold where the four pipes meet for the turbo mount?
Meant to ask you for a pic up the hole ( s:shock:  s:shock: ) but I guess its gone for technicolour dreamcoat with all the rest s:cry:  s:cry:
Not sure what you mean ste, the 4 pipes flow into one as far as I can remember. I didn't notice anything unusual.
On the log manifold, there's a tongue welded in the midline, presumably to direct gases turbo-ly rather than back to the opposite outlets.
Peter Carter explained it to me at CC, and said it was "vitally crucial", but I didn't really understand s:oops:  s:oops:
Maybe its not an issue with yours cos its not a log design.
Pretend I was never here......
Where's me pills s:roll:  s:roll:
Ah I see now! No, no need on mine as each pipe swoops down in the direction of the turbo eliminating that effect.

My 4 year old just said, "What are you doing on your puter? Are you trying to find that man's head?"
That looks like a really nice kit.
actually looks 10x better than the hass kit..
you forgot a 0 s:wink:  s:wink:
what about power output?
Hass stage II puts out what 220whp right?
what about this one?
ShIvER: If you can wait, Dyno day next week will give us some loose comparisons. We'll have varying levels of mapping, boost and tweaks so it'll take some deciphering though.
If I haven't turned my car into a fireball by the end of today s:oops:  s:oops: I'll be running the earlier C2 kit. I'm hoping that Phil can be persuaded to run with the upgraded kit and I fully expect to be trounced s:lol:  s:lol: If my experience with the basic C2 is anything to go by, Lee's bits are a very desirable piece of kit.
I suggest you concentrate more on the torque curve rather than the top-end power though. This is what makes the Turbo so appealing (and why, for example, the TTET performs as well as it does even though its top-end power figure is pretty modest).
Ok I'll wait s:P :P s:P
just a clarification, do you have the stageII ? or I
I've emailed both C2 power and HASS with questions and neither replied... bummer
Quote from: "ShIvER"just a clarification, do you have the stageII ? or I
I've never understood what distinguishes the II from the I s:oops:  s:oops:
All C2s sold so far have IC & uprated injectors, and this was badged up as a Stage I on Gas's website.....but its got the same bits as the Hass II....if that makes sense?
By the way, I think I should mention my turbo kit is now for sale due to unforseen circumstances. s:? :? s:? Very reasonable price too, clicky on my signature.
