I've searched, but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. I found out the turbo used in the TTE kit is a Garrett watercooled type, but I'm interested in knowing what turbo model it is.
Can anyone help me out ? s:? :? s:?
Thanks !
It's a Garrett Type TB2559
Thank you s:) :) s:)
I found this regarding this turbo type:
Part number Aplication C.H.R.A. Service kit A/R
452083-0001 SAAB 443854-0055 709143-0001 0,49
Is it commonly used in SAAB aplications ?
Does anyone know what flange this turbo shares design with ?
I suspect the '2559' would be the Garrett designation there - making it a GT2559(R) (carrying the R if it's a ball bearing centre cartridge), so it should have a 53mm exhaust turbine and 59mm compressor wheel (I believe the Hass kit uses a GT2560R as standard, and RS as an upgrade - though they're referred to by the old numbers, GT28R and GT28RS).
I believe, based on that, it should have a T3 flange.
Silverstone Performance ought to be able to confirm that, given the number they've handled.
Thanks for the help.
I couldn't match that number to anything on w www.turbobygarrett.com (http://www.turbobygarrett.com) w
pretty sure thats what they told me it was Aaron, but just as a note the turbo flange is different from the manifold flange, Steve said this would be an obvious point for porting
