Title: Alarms for imports
Post by: ghollis_84 on May 9, 2006, 14:43
Hi Guys,

Can the toyota alarm for the UK roadster be put onto a Import roadster, will this be pricey?

Are there any other alarms that can be used on our cars?

Cheers

Grant

Most of the cars that have come through car supermarkets, have either cobra or Sigma alarm systems fitted.

I had a sigma one fitted from new, think it cost in the region of £500 for a Thatcham Cat 1 and Thtcham Cat 1 Immobiliser, that was about 6 years ago, I'm sure there are many others out thier, just depends of what you want and how deep is your pocket.

I think actually the aftermaket ones offer a better placed siren as the normal one is situated under the spare wheel in the front, where as the aftermaket ones tend to be fitted under the front plastic, which obviously improves the Decibels.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
