I know a few people have fitted these in their 2's... & I really like the idea of them, & having seen one in action am really really tempted... just one thing is putting me off, and that's how the blue head unit looks at the side of the orange lit dashboard...
does anyone else feel the same?

You can change the colour to orange though it's not a good match for our dashboard. TBH, I forget which colour I have mine set to, whatever it is, I can barely see the thing with my knees in the way so I'm not exactly worried s;) ;) s;)
I had a blue HU in my old car at one point, and tbh it's not that off-putting when driving.

It's quite a bit brighter and darker than our dash lights (I've got it on orange!) but it doesn't look too bad imo.
oh... I never knew that you could switch it to orange..... that'll do nicely for me!!!

and u can make the display dimmer too,
personally i love the blue that it has, its a real soothing coloured light despite it being relatively bright.
the saound (important bit) is awesome

Moleshome, I lied, it is red, but could pass for orange on a good day s;) ;) s;)
these hu are realy good but remember as there ipod ready you only have 1 pre out.... i have the next model up in my other car cant remember the model no but its the one with the bio light display 3 pre outs and the display looks so much better also the model up from that is 60* 60w well worth the extra few quid.......
