Title: Radio crackling noise
Post by: blade900 on December 16, 2006, 22:54
My radio is doing my head in so I hope someone can help. The radio intermittently crackles through the speakers and then the sound goes altogether (which is the current state of it  s:cry:  s:cry: ). Then without warning it will burst into life again and start working for a while without a problem. Then the crackling starts again. The CD and tape work fine.

I have searched this forum thoroughly and found one other person to have had exactly the same problem. Turned out to be a loose wire. So I checked just about every wire and for about 3 weeks all was fine and dandy. It's started happening again about a week ago and despite checking the wires again it's still playing up as before  s:evil:  s:evil:

Has anyone come across this problem before or have any ideas what it might be? It's the standard Sony HU by the way.

It's not such a bad suggestion, I've been thinking about replacing it   s:lol:  s:lol:

I haven't spoken to Mr T yet, thought I'd probably get a more sensible answer on here!   s:crazyeyes:  s:crazyeyes:
