Title: Red VVTI badges as per Yaris T-Sport
Post by: MRMike on December 5, 2003, 12:51
I really like the look of the red VVTI  badges as per Yaris T sport, and was wondering if anyone knew the parts no for them? Or if someone in the club has some spare? I think one would look rather nice on the interior and one on the back..

Cheers,

Mike

Yeah they look great i reckon! I'm thinking of gettting rid of the MR2 badge..i just think it's too much at the back..as the 03 is quite fussy at the back anyways not too sure why the Americans love them so much.

Just thought i'd add a pic of the Red Yota badge from the T-sports too, i fitted it to mine just as the T-Sport came out, thought it suited a red car  s;) ;) s;)

That looks pretty fine against the red certainly, nice one!

Mental block, but is the VV-Ti badge above in place of the Roadster badge then?

Haha it's a little joke me and my dad have.  He has an R34 UK GTR which is running about 550bhp.  It's an AWESOME piece of kit...and completely nuts to drive..Anyways we went to a recent family outing and my dad drove in the R34, and me in the MR, driving back to my parents house near Keele, we went through some undulating B roads through betley etc... needless to say the little MR with all the tight corners, and undulating roads pulled away from Godzilla.  I'm yet to go head to head with it on the track, but were supposed to be going to bedofrd autodrome in the not to distant future.  I'd perfer a track with some sharper corners so i at least have a fighting chance with the R34..should be interesting though.

I reckon it would look nice with the VVTI in place of the Toyota badge then keep the MR2 and the Roadster Badges

hehehehehe  s:D :D s:D , is ya dad on the GTR forum, i may know him?, i was heading back from an outing the other week with some of the 200sx boyz  and being led by a teggy. They were all giving me stick! becaue when we left town i got caught a set of lights (boys in blue at the same juntion, so i stopped  s;) ;) s;)  ) and they all went ahead and i never caught them up.

Turned out they took a wrong turning and i got home 5 minutes before any of them  s:D :D s:D , I 've found the 34 to handle very well on the twisties, but she is a heavy old beast tho, once i've sorted some R or S tune suspension i think it will be up there with the 2 (almost   s:oops:  s:oops:  )

I take it you have a UK 34 then?  No my dad's not on the forum, hes a bit wary that someone will come and look for the car if they know where there is one about.  Did you buy yours from Middlehurst then? What colour is yours and what no? My dads was no 2 in the country in Bayside Blue.  Yeah for a big car they handle incredibly well, but ultimately physics comes into play after a while, and soon that 1660 kg body feels that heavy.  We've had quite a few problems with ours and the HICAS rear steering.  You will be on the motorway and the car thinks your trying to turn left! Very scary!

Appologies to mods for wandering off topic!

Yeah sorry Mods ( i should know better too   s:oops:  s:oops:    s:wink:  s:wink:  ), i have indeed a UK R34 GTR from Middlehurst, number 11, mines Black Pearl in color, see this thread for a piccy http://www.mr2roc.org/viewtopic.php?t=1023&start=45

The HICAS can be a pain, AMPS, Subs, low fluid and dodgy earths can all cause the problem you describe  s:) :) s:)

Very nice! did you buy it new? I know a guy called Mark who had one at a similar time to yours in black. I like the Nismo skirts as well, when i get the car they will definitely be going on!

The HICAS is rediculously sensitive, don't know if you know little John at Middlehurst but he was saying that certain tracks, and thus frequencies can cause it to go wonkey!

Have you had Steel trubo's installed yet incidentally?
