Chaps,
No doubt you have all seen by now the comments resulting from our Essen trip regarding a GB on TTE parts.
We have not arranged any details as yet and no timeframe has been put on this either. What I will say is that nothing is going to happen until the new year.
With this in mind I thought it may be worth while to show everyone what exactly is available in the TTE range. (note the turbo is not included)
here is the link to the TTE site.

What I have noticed is that it is missing the revised interior packages for the SMT and all 03 models. If you follow the link below I have scanned the relevant page from the TTE brochure I brought back.

we will not have prices until after we have approached them with a list however by way of indication the Lexus boys have been known to get 20% off the prices shown on the TDI website. (link below) I'm not guaranteeing we will acheive anywhere close to this but it will give you a feel for it.

I would also add that TTE will not split the interior parts packages, I've already asked. So if there are items you don't want from a given kit you'll either need to sell them on later or arrange to split your purchase with someone who does. Annoying I realise as there a couple of pieces I want and they are both in seperate kits. Such is life.
Feel free to discuss this here and think about what if anything you would like. I will update with official UK dealer prices for comparison as soon as I find a dealer who actually has a price list.
Once into the new year I will start an official GB thread in the appropriate forum and hopefully we can keep that one short and sweet.
Mark.
By way of an update;
Following discussions with TTE last week here are the official prices.
Personally I think they are already looking good and we may be able to get extra discount for a decent sized order.
PLEASE NOTE THESE PRICES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE DIRECT FROM TTE. TTE WILL NOT DEAL WITH INDIVIDUALS. ANY ORDERS DIRECT FROM TTE WILL ONLY BE IN RESPONSE TO QUANTITY ORDERS FROM THE CLUB
Please also note that these prices are in Euros and the current exchange rate is 1.44 to the pound.
Feel free to discuss on this thread. We will not be arranging a shipment for a couple of months due to the profusion of GBs going on at the moment I'm sure your bank managers are all seeing stars already :-) :-) :-)

Prices are cheaper - Wheels are less than what I paid.
Mark, is there any news on the Adjustable Suspension that was initially mentioned?
Sam,
The adjustable suspension has had all it's R&D done but commercially they have no plans to go ahead at tis time. However it was indicated to us that if we had a requirement for several sets (no numbers were discussed) and a price could be agreed they may produce a few solely for us.
How likely that is in practice from a commercial point of view I don't know so no promises. If there are a few people interested we can push this further for a decision.
IMHO prices would be comparable to the Sportivo. Shocks and sprinsg only.
i would be interested in a gb for the tein lowering springs but they are rather high priced at £180.

I would be interested in these dependant on final price.
all prices are euros
s:shock:  s:shock: Ignorant me! I didn't notice the prices are in Euros....
They ARE good then - I paid 220 GBP over the prices here for a set of wheels.
Well, I would certainly be interested in the suspension if any kind of list comes together to register for them.

I'm also interested in springs asap. They are quite cheap and a top mod so will be waiting ready for the GB... s:wink:  s:wink:
off topic: Jesus heath, just how much money do you have?!? s:wink:  s:wink: You seem to be in on every group buy around... lucky git! s:shock:  s:shock:

Renewed my insurance tonight for a mod friendly one so have become keen for these mods for the spring s8) 8) s8) Paying for them is another all together issue s:cry:  s:cry: Just have to put the extra hours in I suppose s:cry:  s:cry:
Check out the retail prices in US:

Front bumper ~490e (incl. VAT) from TTE and ~390e from TRD? s:shock:  s:shock:
Silencer ~600e (incl. VAT) from TTE and ~480e from TRD s:? :? s:?
I know the prices from US probably end up being more once they get here with the shipping and customs, but since they are made in Europe (right?) and shipped to US, how on earth can they be less over there? s:evil:  s:evil:
that won't include sales tax though, which varies state to state.
I imagine TTE prices include German Vat, since importing inside europe has no vat charged at destination, nor import duty come to that.
Quote from: "markiii"that won't include sales tax though, which varies state to state.
I thought that only applies in California..?
not all states but a fair number have sales tax it varies accordign to state.
not normally an issue for us as we are shipping abroad though.
lol... these prices are considerably lower than TTE Europe prices!
Actually these prices are lower than what Toyota dealers in Europe have to pay for the items (in some cases)
Taxes are only 8.5 to 9% in the USA, and they do not apply to mailorder items, so thats not it.
Am I working things out differently to you Tem?
I just took the price of the front bumper from the US PDF, and the TTE HTML, and they both worked out to ~£330 excluding delivery, but including taxes into the UK (~21% for VAT & import duty from the US, 17.5% VAT from the EU I think)..
Delivery from the EU should be much cheaper though..
Or did I misunderstand everything? (again! s;) ;) s;) ) s:) :) s:)

I did say the US prices are without customs (which means also without VAT) s;) ;) s;)
Anyone ever paid customs and VAT for the real price anyway? s:roll:  s:roll:

See http://www.mr2roc.org/viewtopic.php?t=2295 and the first link contained therein for more info on VAT on intra-EU purchases.
if you order the bumper I think you'd get stung

Yeah, every time I ordered from http://www.courtesyparts.com.. But then they had no mark-down option, and I was tending to be ordering >$1000 worth of parts at a time.. s:cry:  s:cry:
£113 for front and rear sway bars. Sounds good to me. Are they easy to fit? Is an alignment needed after?
a little fiddly but easy enough.
you should get away without an alignment.

There is an article at spydermagazine on installation. I am tempted as well especially at that price. I believe that the setting for the rear can help to adjust oversteer/understeer.
Not many of the US guys seem to have experience of the TTE ones and use either the TRD or Sanger version.

I'll let you go first s:wink:  s:wink: Or being in Herts we could do both cars together.

Ah...over here it doesn't matter what the sender writes as the value. The receiver sets the price. Basically you don't even need any papers to prove it, customers word is what counts. Of course you can print an email or whatever to back you up s:roll:  s:roll:

Or am I missing something again?

Seems to work just fine here...
The prices are on the right side, maybe you don't see the full page?
weird, it works ok at work. At home last night I got the column heading, but no prices underneath... s:roll:  s:roll:
For the springs, I make it £137 + £24 vat + a few beers for Mark's fitting party! s:lol:  s:lol:
Does anyone have any weights for the tte wheels?
I can't find teh exct figures, but before I bought my 17" last year Jemca looked up teh weights for me. They took some getting but were astoundingly heavy. Shame because they look yummy.
If you want something similar but lighter the Speedline 2120 I went with is your best bet.
I've just had a word with my mate whos an aftersales manager with a Toyota Dealership near Bradford and he would be happy to supply TTE springs for the roadster at £125.00 inc VAT. There would of course be delivery on top of this if not collected.
So you can use this as a bench mark when you know exactly what TTE are going to charge on a group buy.
I had TTE's on the Celica and they were the dogs danglies, nice and firm on the corners but not to hard for everyday driving. I would have them on the two to gert the wheels to fill the arches, but my Trial front is very low already (might change the front yet s:wink:  s:wink: )
anyway hope that helps
It certainly does Perry, thanks for that. I will be interesting to see what TTE can do directly.
