Title: 2ZZ or 1ZZ
Post by: uktotty on July 27, 2007, 12:24
How canI tell what engine I ACTUALLY have installed in my car?
I hear lots of reports of the 2ZZ being better than the 1 but how can I tel which engine Mrt installed in March 2007?
Are there any key factors I can look out for?

LOL Cheers Mark
Just guessed they may have as there might not be any old ones left!
Also the description was "modified engine" from the dealer

you need custom parts to fit a 2zz

Would it have needed to be modified for the simple reason that the same engine is also used for the Celica?

shouldn't be, the gearbox is slightly different but outside of that the engine is 99% the same

I think the original question has been answered and any more can be found by searching.
