Post by: nathanMR2 on February 21, 2008, 21:34
Ive been looking at these on ebay. Does anyone know if they are any good??

I wanted some Focals but they are looking alittle pricey. I have no idea if the above is any good...

Details are...

Woofer size : 16.5 cm (6.5")
Power handling capacity : 50 W RMS / 80 W max
Tweeter : 25 mm (1") tweeter
Sensitivity : 92 dB (1W/1m)
Magnet size : 90 mm (3.54")
Outer diameter of woofer : 165 mm (6.5")
Installation depth : 53 mm (2.09")
Mounting hole : 146 mm (5.75")
Speaker type : 2-way system

Ebay ref. 120221591620

They come from Hong Kong, anyone know it we get charged import tax on stuff like this?

Thanks

Not very powerful.

Look up Infinity Kappa 65.7cs on Ebay, I have those. VG in my opinion, and cheaper, and no possibility of import tax.

50W RMS should be enough

Do you still think its better to pick up a pair of Focals 165a's?

No idea. Like most things you have to make the final decision I'm afraid.

Some here have them and say they are very good.

As I said I have the Infinitys, and they are good enough for me. Even better when I put a half decent head unit in!
