Title: Stereo coding
Post by: Anonymous on December 12, 2008, 18:47
Anyone know if the mr2 standard stereo is coded? had one free with the wheels off cj and may try and fit it in my 'truck' but was wondering if i will need to put in a code after rewiring? as i know you have to on some stereo's.
Maybe a silly question but only if you know the answer. lol.

There is an easy way to find out.  Connect it across a 12v battery and see if it comes alive, safer if there are speakers connected.
