Title: Removal of Double Din Stereo
Post by: Anonymous on June 1, 2009, 11:54
Hi All,

I have recently bought a JAP import MR-2/MRS Roadster (2000) and love it! However there are few things that need fixing and the car came with no user manuals or instructions.

The current stereo fitted is a Toyota MT-D59 which is the Minidisc head unit and radio, also fitted below is a CDT-7170 6 CD Changer. It has died and wont spit out any CD's, I have read the fix for error 3 but as the radio also doesnt go past 80FM I want to upgrade.

I spent 2 hours Saturday trying to remove the entire stereo so that I could purchase either the Sony double din or a comparable JVC etc.

Does anyone have any info regarding the removal of the stereo?? Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Many Thanks

Unclip the arms on the centre console and remove the screws.
I did my years ago but I think its that simple!
