Title: Mystery Parts
Post by: Anonymous on June 23, 2009, 13:45
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While removing an ipod adapter I found (and removed) a small aftermarket box and puck antenna installed in the passenger footwell. It was attached to power off the lighter and ground (no other connections).

It is a black plastic box about 3"x4"x1/2" and has a label on the outside with the numbers 03901, 221, 5RLJ9901US, 028988F & 1.18 AND A BARCODE.

Inside is a printed circuit board with the numbers LAY4-AE and MS249E and a lithium battery.

The antenna is about 4" round and maybe 1/4" thick with the inscription 6000US.

No manufacturer name or logo and no other connections. Have no idea what it could be. Any thoughts?
