Title: Getting Cables from Battery to Passenger Compartment
Post by: Anonymous on August 10, 2009, 13:05
Hello

I need to get cables direct from the battery (about 10amp) from the rear mounted battery in to the passenger compartment.

Can anyone help? Is there an easy way?

Thanks.

Alan

Through the grommet already in the firewall?

Just take you battery out and have a look with the torch.
You will need to remove the rear bins to get to the other end of it though.

There's a hole in the bulkhead behind the battery, which you can also access from behind the passenger seat if you take the bins out. It carries OEM wiring and TBH is a bit difficult to add extra through it in the "proper" place.

However, a cross slit in the surround worked!   s:wink:  s:wink:

you can poke the wires through by taping them to a small screwdriver or a length of wire coathanger.
