Does it have FM? I know some units come over from japan and can only pick up MD.

Japanese FM frequency ranges are different to those in use in Europe - you'll need a 'band expander' fitted, or a European radio.

(US radios suffer a similar problem - frequency stepping is different in different territories)

Size wise it will fit, you will need your old mounts from your old unit unless you want to buy some new ones.
