Title: Homemade J-Spec centre caps
Post by: Slacey on February 29, 2004, 16:54
Having got the badges from Yiannis, I had a go at making some centre caps with them - I reckon they look awesome, and cheap to make too  s:D :D s:D

Is that your OEM wheels refinished in Anthracite? Just wondering what they would look like on a blue car.......

That they are..  s:wink:  s:wink:

Should be on the car in time for Star City (fingers crossed), but it all depends on my new tyres turning up in time.

They look great Sean.  I put red j-specs in the middle of mine, stuck them on with no more nails and they haven't moved! Just realised how dirty my centre caps are as well, Seans put mine to shame   s:oops:  s:oops:

Slacey,

You must have read my  mind, I was thinking of getting my stock wheels relaquered in anthracite - looks awesome. Have you fronted the cost yourself or got Toyota to after the finish bubbled.

Would love to see some pics of them on your car with the caps. My 2 is black which wouldn't look too different to yours tone on tone wise. Also where did you get them done?

Hi Russ, I had them done myself (there was no bubbling as they haven't been on the car for 8 months!) through KN Wheels (http://www.knwheels.co.uk), they have done quite a bit of work for me now and the results are superb, as you can see. Hopefully the wheels will be on the car by the weekend, and if so I will take some pics at the Star City meet and post them up.

What range of finishes can KN do  s:?: :?: s:?:  I may go this route instead of Toyota replacing mine...

Quite a few, different silvers, black, white, gold, anthracite etc.

Give them a call and ask for Ian; tell him I sent you, he will be happy to discuss what they can do.
