Title: Finally got the 2 repaired!!!
Post by: MR 2ster on February 3, 2010, 00:10
OK...some of you might know that my fiance unfortunately had a small crash when it snowed a few weeks back...Ice on the A31 sent the MR2 spinning into the central reservation! Fortunately it wasn't major damage and she was ok...it could've been a lot worse as she span accross the dual carriageway backwards and ended up in a ditch the other side!

Anyway, we finally got the car back on the road after a few weeks of waiting for parts which were stuck up north due to snow! Finally got some pics online to show, any excuse really  s:P :P s:P

Bridge motors did the spray job and I have to say i'm impressed with their prices, quality and paint match! Also thanks to the guys here that helped point me in the right  direction of a few suppliers for the parts!  s:D :D s:D

Also took the car to Christchurch Tyres to get an alignment which only cost £35 and both fronts a rears were way out (Rears towing in and fronts towing out) I'm pretty sure this is due to the lowering of the car and would probably be the reason the rear tyres were like slicks!!! Now its got fresh Firestone rubber on and is handling very well indeed!!!  s:D :D s:D

Just hope this is it for car crashes, I think we've had my fill now!!!  s:) :) s:)  Ta for looking!

How much did the spray job set you back? How close a match did they get? I want to get my front end sprayed to get rid of stone chips so I'm just trying to get an idea of spray costs at the moment.

+1 - it's a shame you can't buy a bumper pre painted like with VW's (AFAIK)
