Hi Guys,
I can't get to my car while at work and also have done a complete thorogh search for this, but nowhere does anyone mention the speed rating on the stock tyres for the 2 in any of the threads. Does anyone know this?
I have just had a look on mytyres.co.uk and the Toyo's don't show up when you put on the top speed rating, which is what I thought would be on the car as the car is capable of more than 130mph (just). Hence, you always go for the top ratd tyre. I know that not everyone razzes around at that speeds so the rating is not all that important, but if you are on track or just want to be safe, surely the higher rating is the way to go?
Anyway, when you assign the top "V" rating, they don't appear. When you go for the next rating down, they do, but with a "V" rating anyway?
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
ta
V for the pre '03, V front and W rear for the 03.
Fair enough. Weird that it doesn't come up in the "V" rating when you search on mytyres.......
And one more thing. How come they are so CHEAP on that site?!!! Superb value if you ask me, considering Bridgies and Yoko's are all about £70-80!!!! The T1-S's are only £40 and £43 respectively!
Just got to find someone to fit them now........ s:roll:  s:roll:
The site's a bit broken in places. For example you can't change your postcode to rearrange delivery... it strips the letters out and then complains it's not a valid postcode.
As to the price, you're right, they're stonking value.... BUT, as me and others have found here, their promise of next delivery isn't exactly fulfilled.
If you accept they're a bargain price and can put up with a bit of ropey customer service, you'll get a nice set of tyres for not very much money.
local qwik fit will usually oblige for £30
be arned they take quite a while to scrub in nicely.
mine are luvley after I melted them at Anglesey s;-) ;-) s;-)
ive heard that their tyres all all imported. i have a uk source that im going to get prices off next time for the F1's
Cheers Phil and Mark. I am not in any hurry for them and I didn't know the Kwikky lot would do tyres other than their own, so that is good to know. And I kinda guessed that they might need scrubbing in. Not been to the track day though, so any ideas on how long in normal circumstances?
As for you Kris, whats this source then? Gonna let on? s:wink:  s:wink: s:lol:  s:lol:

They're about 20quid more per tyre than mytyres for Toyos.... but they include fitting... so I reckon about 10quid pre tyre more.
Better than "Stuff-up and Bodgit" down the road, who charge best part of 75quid/tyre fitted for the Toyos.
