Seen these on Ebay today and wondered if anyone has fitted a set to their car? If so how easy/hard was it?

Thanks in advance.
taking the guage pod out is a doddle, not sure on stripping it down to replace the facia though.
It says on there you don't need to remove the needles, so if not then it shouldn't be too hard, I tried to design a set of these, but found remove needles to be a royal pain in the ass.
If the design was nicer, just say blue background id be interested in a set.
Something along these lines

Haven't got one but have been interested in them for a while. Came across their website a few weeks ago @ http://www.visual-performance.co.uk/#/mr2-mk3-roadster/4534729646
I have to say I like the look of these - Can't quite see how you could fit them without removing needles on the fuel / temp gauge when they point away from each other, but tempted to find out!
Who's going to be guinea pig? s:lol:  s:lol:
I used to have some dials on my Honda CRX - they look to have been similar to the ones on sale here in that they are overlays that go over the top of the existing dials. The overall result was good (see below) but they were a bit fiddly to put on (you have to ease the centre hole over the needles). The first attempt I had resulted in them not being flush enough against the dials, so the needle would get stuck!
I would ask for fitting instructions before paying out, to check what is required.
Here were my CRX ones:

those look like speedhuts stum, speed huts are very good, im always worried about trying others as they usually tend to suck s:lol:  s:lol:
Taurec did some kit a fair while back, there was a group buy on that. Some designs looked pretty good, but they required a fair bit of skill to fit nicely.
I think I might be tempted, I've been looking for a means to change the lighting of my guages since I had the extra Defi guages fitted. They glow green with a red needle at night which doesn't look right with the orange glow of the dash. They say the colour's changable and green is an option s:) :) s:)
Fitting must be tricky though.
The taurec's were a pile of junk, they used original lighting with plastic overlay, really shoddy, I bought evil eye's to use as a template, and Im amazed people paid for them, looked like something made on blue peter s:lol:  s:lol: My main issue with carrying on production was how to get them over the needles without removing them.
On the mk2 due to each dial being seperate its quiet easy to place dial over the top, but on the mk3 i couldn't see it possible unless they made the centre ring slightly bigger or in two seperate sections.
Very cool I like them too, Jason, when you have done yours can you come and do mine?
Think I will e-mail for fitting instructions and if ok then I'll order at pay day and fit following weekend. I think it will be ok for fitting my guess because of the way they light up they go over original dials and slip over the needles.
Iv had these on previous mr2;s and an mx5 - Excellent.
I bought them from ebay (same lisiting as someone has posted at the top and the website sujested (visual performance), got them today and installed them in about 20 mins. really easy to get the dash our and take it apart. They didnt just clip over. s:( :( s:( I ended up breaking the black spike on the speedo, simple fix just superglued it back, and I had to take the engine temp needle off. You dont need to worry about removing needles, they just pop pff with a fork under them and as long as you put them back on where you took them off, normally all in their resting place you wont have an issue with the alignment. The engine temp one isnt so important if its a few mm out anyway. I really like them, light up nice and bright, the needles still light up as you dont take any bulbs out.
It says to wire it to the cigerate lighter but this seems like a pain in the ass to me, so I simply take a bulb out the back of the dash, attatch the 2 wires to the bulb one either end making sure polarity is right (if wrong simply switch it to the other side), then plug the bulb back in. This will provide power to the el dials when lights are on. Also the dimmer for the dash will now dim the dials, which you can do with the controller provded with the dials aswell.
Simple. s:) :) s:)
Seriously don't pop off the rev needle or the speedo needle, you will end up 10mph out on the speedo and about 200 rpm with the rev. Petrol and Temp ones are easy fix, had to sort the speedo and rev counter with the power fc.
Hm, I'd really like to see a set in the flesh before buying, but feedback thus far seems to be positive (apart from breaking/removing needles!). I like the idea of wiring it into the stock dash illumination to avoid having two dimmers. Good to know that works.
Perhaps we could order a group buy if there's enough people interested?
Heres some pics of mine fitted. Sorry about quality, they are quite bright and the camera wouldnt focus properly. Obviously I have them set to Blue. They can be blue or green, and I have them at their brightest.

Any one know if there is dials with km/h..other then stock ofc.
Very star treck.
