Can you check your precats?

Could just be salt or something, but i'd check the precats...

Problem is that i am at uni and the car is down south, also i'd have NO idea how to check the pre-cats, being an '03 i'd have thought it'd be ok?

LeeUK saw it at the weekend as well, i meant to take some pics.

Can any1 expain how i can check the pre-cats or is it cmplex?

White deposits on the outside of the exhaust, then probably salt or normal chrome corrision  s:) :) s:) , on the inside, this could be cat related if they are white particles rather than just white marks.

more likely to be salt as the rads are being gritted majorly at the moment

I seem to remember that bigone007's 2 is in some seaside town?....hence loads of salt.  Either that or the local junkie has been careless  s:lol:  s:lol:

I think there is loads of salt around like he said already, our 2 looked a bit white to be honest when we gave it back.

I am about 20 mins from coast so yeah that may make difference.

Hope its just salt.......1st thing i did was check the oil and that suggested it wasn't pre cat failure.

Thanks for re-assurance guys.
