Title: MR-S Four tail lights or two?
Post by: Rowland on July 23, 2010, 11:08
Hi all,

My MR-S failed its MOT on Monday on a few simple items. One of which reads as follows:-

Offside rear position lamp(s) not working [1.1.A.2b]

Which I read as offside tail light not operating, which when I got home to replace the bulb it works fine.
Looking in a bit more detail at the back of the tail light assembly there appears to be another bulb that may or may not act as a second tail light per cluster JDM stylee.
However it doesn't appear to operate, neither does the nearside though.
Is the JDM rear light cluster and the UK rear cluster different?

Bit confused, thanks in advance.

Is your current MR-S pre or post facelift Rowland, I'm pretty sure I don't have any extras in mine, only 3 per side + 4th for fog on the OS?

MRS has 2 taillights on each side a bit like this 0_0
Where the MR2 only has 1 on each side bit like this 0__

where
0 = light and
_ = no light
