I'm on the lookout for a 2nd hand MR2 and debating whether or not to get one that has a hardtop.
One thing that could be a problem for me is the amount of headroom in the car with the hardtop installed - I'm 6'4 and was pleasantly suprised by the amount of head room with the softop up. Does anyone know if the hardtop reduces the headroom available?
I'd love to go and try one for myself but unfortunately the local dealers don't have any MR2s let alone one with a hardtop....

Not at all. In fact the HT may give a fraction more space as there are no bars etc that the cloth has to go over.
Thanks for the answer victor, although this does mean i will have to make a decision instead of not being able to fit s:? :? s:?
It gives about an inch more than the soft top... I'm 6' 4" too and have no issues at all with the HT on, with the soft top the top of my hair just brushed the roof.
