Title: Whick Brake Pads?
Post by: Anonymous on October 9, 2010, 11:21
I've just bought some Ferodo brake pads (FDB 1392) for my 2004 roadster, as recommended by the motor factor.  They've got silver metal tags sticking out of the pads at right angles.  I can't fit them, as the metal tag fouls on the fixed part of the caliper.  Are they the right pads, does anyone know?  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks for the reply.  Just noticed my typo in the title.  D'oh!

In the thread for front pad exchange, it's unclear from the photos whether the pads have the metal tag or not.  Does anyone have any idea?

Looks like there is a metal tag on the bottom of the pic in this ad.    m http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-MR2-VVTi-R ... 500wt_1156 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-MR2-VVTi-ROADSTER-FRONT-REAR-MINTEX-BRAKE-PADS-/280077162778?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4135e6591a#ht_500wt_1156) m
